Return.

The year hasn't been so kind but it hasn't been that mean as well. I would prefer to see it all as a continuous process, down and lows.
Anywho,

It has been quite a long time and i do have to admit that my writing has gotten even worse than before although i truly miss self-expression in the form of words. Circumstances and personal time has gotten to me, that i am often seen as a sushi roll on the bed what with the really cold rainy weather we are currently experiencing. Exaggerating, of course but being a sushi roll with your own blankets is a very comfortable thing to do.

2014 was a year of doing so many different things. The cheesy way of putting it is to dub it as "the continuous year of soul searching" and the more mature way of putting it might be "a year of progress". I met new people, reconnected with old ones, maintained with the ones that i have and exchanged bittersweet smiles as well as tears. One of the most memorable that I've done this year is quite possibly taking a few days work leave to backpack all the way to Singapore for the sake of seeing one of my favorite bands performing live which left me absolutely ecstatic the whole night. It was unforgettable, minus the drunk kids.

Odd encounters, particularly of people, here and there are inevitable for some odd reasons but nothing a cup of tea can't remedy(or the occasional coffee in some cases). Spending time with a friend going to different cafes and burger joints even with nothing major to exchange in spoken words is a priceless moment let alone those moments we've laughed and ugly cried together. "Who would have thought we could have been this close", I thought to myself, feeling grateful.

Gossips and personal politics are often the silliest, fed upon with a pinch of salt. You should never take things at face value, something i learned that i have always noticed. Time goes by fast, you wish you could grab the hands of the clock and turn it back, but moments are experiences that you adapt to; positive and negative. In the cold night, you wonder at yourself if you were the same person before, and you wonder if you have changed.

But i'm still me.
and that's good.

Workaholic.

It's been such a long time, abandoning this place and coming back. It has absolutely been a while.
I don't deny it at all, I have been using work as a form of coping mechanism to the point of being workaholic. Still, I need to know when to stop and take a break.

I suppose I've leveled up quite a bit since I last wrote in here. Time passes by so fast, although it's been almost halfway through the year, everything is like a roller coaster ride that feels constant but not so at the same time. Seeing new people, reconnecting with old ones, more things to do, crossing things out one by one, a cup of hot milk tea at the start of every morning and home cooked dinner together to end the day.

It's not so bad after all, come to think of it.

2014.

So it comes to an end, another year: 2013.
I would probably have to dub this year as one of the depressing low moments in my life seeing as how most of my posts were either depressing or just plain sad. I don't deny it nor am i to deny that there were as much happy moments during the course of 2013. I supposed i could describe it as 'bittersweet' but i am aware that the sweetness overwhelms in so many ways despite it all.

Anywho,
Let's do a recap shall we?
Achievements/memorable events of 2013 none in particular order:

- I finally finished my final year project and graduated.
- Freelancing.
- Improvements!
- A whole year of soul-searching wtf.
- Strengthened my relationships with the people i care most.
- Slowly worked through my worst depression so far.
- Learned how to cook and surprised self with the dishes cooked!
- Gotten used to living on my own/independently
- Learned my ways through public transport going here and there
- Conquered my fear of driving
- Became a much more different person with a better mindset/needs life-wise
- Gotten in touch with my personal self-evaluating side, reflected.
- Connected with more peers outside of social media
- Tried a more variety of cafes and dining places

Not quite the eventful year but i've been left to my own thoughts.
I'll have to ponder through the fact that although you are a changing person, it is apparent that the personal views others have of you are often the outdated version of yourself; often not the same as your current self. What others remember is a past that you have probably left bit by bit as change is gradually achieved through time and patience.
The only way to surpass that outdated persona of the person you thought would be is the act of letting go as well as forgiveness as everybody changes in different ways.

It's a funny thought though. To think that in a way or another, we choose to be stuck in a certain time period regarding people and other things often forgetting that change is inevitable. I suppose at the same time, it's not entirely a bad thing as nostalgia is often there to teach and remind you of those silly things you used to do.

Still, i wish to maintain a strong positive outlook and a learning experience from this year.

Might re-edit this post with pictures later on.
